The Society has been in existence for over 12 years but is an unknown quantity for many employees of the Council. Membership is available to existing, as well as retired employees and offers the chance to play at courses around the County on a monthly basis. There are currently 25-30 active members
As a non-profit making organisation, the small annual subscription (£15.00p.a.) helps to provide prizes for each meeting and subsidises some of the more expensive course fees/events e.g. the all-day Christmas meeting at Thorpeness Golf Club

The darts team play on Monday nights against other clubs in and around Ipswich.
It’s a mixed team and very friendly so don’t be shy!

Once again the County Council has entered a team into the Ipswich inter-firm Cricket league so it is time to retrieve those pads from the loft and freshen those whites. We are maintaining our position in division 2 and have a number of mid week fixtures this year on Tuesday or Thursday evenings. The matches are a fifteen, 8 ball over slog played to a reasonable standard but anyone keen to play or try their hand at the noble game please let me know.
