Theatre trips
The club ran another successful theatre trip in January to the Piccadilly theatre in the West End to see Guy's and Dolls. It is hoped to arrange a couple more this year one in Summer another moving toward Christmas. I am not sure what the next show will be at the moment but will be looking for the group bargains shortly. 2006
Your Sports & Social club has now run 9 very popular and successful theatre trips, which have seen over 500 people travel to the West End. These trips also give people the chance to spend a few free hours wandering around the sights & shops before the Saturday matinee. Many of the trips have seen huge savings on the West End ticket prices as we are buying for a group and offers excellent value. Obviously the discount varies between the shows but we hope to carry on taking advantage of these offers where possible. We also offer a discount for anyone under the age of 16. The last trip in, March 2006 to ‘Dancing in the Street’, was met with rave reviews from those who went and offered something a little different from the traditional musical.
The Social Club hopes to do more trips in the future and will hopefully have one organised for the summer / autumn 2006. As well as being publicised on the web site there is an advertising distribution list that emails anyone interested in getting the next outing’s details so if you would like to hear about it please contact me to be added to that list.
